Titanic the musical

the musical scene in sydney is dying. no good musical for a long time. Andrew Lloyd Webber's semi-retired. has Schönberg and Boublil written anything recently? and what's Cameron Mackinton been up to?!?

last night's Titanic ~ the musical at the Theatre Royal did not exceed my expectations, which was low to start with. the good things were the singing and the set (but no single drop of water was found on stage), oh and the fact that the ticket was free! the bad things were the music, the libretto and the lack of a story-line (except for the sinking of a big ship).

please just give us some anniversary versions of some of the old ones! if musicals are disappearing at this rate, how's my aspiration of one day singing in a musical ever going to be realised!?!
