what movies make you cry?
to me, there're 2 kinds of good movies. ones that take me thru a journey of emotions and ones with clever twists. just gonna discuss the first kind this time.saw "Becoming Jane" last night. went in without too much expectation. a fictional take on Jane Austen's love life. I heard your eyes roll. Yeah, yeah, a typical movie that i would watch. but let me defend myself by saying that I picked this one cos i thought my mum might enjoy it, compared to say, 300. So, i was rather surprised when, towards the end of the movie, i was full on crying. Ok, not "full on" per say. cos i didn't wanna embarrase my mum by making to much noise. But i had to try quite hard to keep it down, while my tears rolled and rolled. and was searching frantically for some tissue when the movie ended. was totally exhausted when we left the cinema. ill-fated love. sacrifice. *sigh* and fell back in love with period drama.

Another one of the many movies that make me cry is "Waterloo Bridge". used to pull it out to watch when i was feeling depressed and needed a good cry, but just not quite there.
A friend said that what makes her cry is when there's cruelty & abuse or when a character comes to a life-changing realisation.
