something else that doesn't often happen to medical officers happened to me in my first term as an intern. (the first is being involved in a coroner's case)
without going into the details: i was the key witness to an act of unprofessionalism (which is more bizzare than serious) and had to assist in photo identification of the offender. the senior involved in investigating the case said she'd not encountered anything like this in her 20+ yrs of career in medicine.

Today's sermon topic was quite relevant to me. tis was bout how to respect/obey/etc our parents, esp non-Christian parents. the problem was, i was very distracted by the mozzie that bit me 5 times and was eventually squashed between the palms of her victim (who's the victim now!?!). i had my own blood on my hands... was also very distracted cos i suddenly start getting very worried about this patient of mine at hospital. i wasn't sure if i'd done the right thing and if people had attended to her over the weekend... have to wait and find out tmrw morning.
