can't believe i'm being told that my handwriting is sometimes illegible already! have to slow down when i write then.
i reckon patient notes, med charts and all currently hand-written medical documents should be computerised. There should be a terminal at the end of each patient's bed. This will save the time looking for misplaced documents too. And you have to sign in with a password each time you use a patient's file. This way the patient can't read what you've written about them (eg "patient's agitated, physical restraint recommended) and no one can fake an entry under someone else's name. We should be able to access a patient's file from any ward or department to save time from running from ward to ward. doubt this is going to happen in the near future...
