got to suture again the other day. this time, inside someone's mouth! an deep irregular laceration between the front teeth and the inner lip that created a deep gap. the oral mucosa's a lot more tougher and bled a lot less than i 'd expected. so 4 stitches inside the mouth. also did 2 outside for a deep laceration on the lip that extended thru the full thickness of the lip to the inside of the mouth. this was on a 62 year old. perfect age! old enough to tolerate this type of torture, but not too old to develop some bad complication.

dunno why i am not seeing much pathology (other than lacerations and fractures). the only other real pathology i've seen so far are tonsilitis and pneumonia. not even a NSTEMI (a small heart-attack)! although i don't wish any real pathology on the patients that walk thru out door, it does make me a bit worried that i'm not seeing any. WHAT IF I AM MISSING THE DIAGNOSIS!?!?
