got home at 9pm again. got 1.5hrs to do things that one's gotta do. like having lunch/dinner, etc. Another day of eating on the go and running when i can.

While i do enjoy work so far (for very trivial reasons) and don't mind doing overtime (cos they do pay us for overtime), don't like it when i get home late and come do anything i like. Don't have time to think over things, pray properly, do regular quiet times, etc.

Need to starting thinking whether it's gonna be physician or surgical training. Opportunities are coming up. Hospital's telling us to start applying already, if we are interested in certain things. but just don't even have the time to think or ask around for advice. Internship's not helping me to decide. I could have a clearer assessment of each side when i was a medical student and learning and doing proper medicine, not like what i'm doing now. Would like to speak to some surgeons that are Christians and see how they're balance their Christian life and work.

So far at all, a lot of my colleagues still don't know that i'm a Christian. perhaps i haven't had enough time to chat to them. I don't usually tell ppl that unless i've come to know them a bit, in case they back out, then it'll never get any further. don't know if that approach is alright. But today, when my consultant (big boss) was asking me if i was interested in surgery, I told him that i was, but i needed to consider that against life-style issues, including my Christian commitments. Then he asked me what i do at church and if i had big ministry plans for the future (which i've not thought too far about yet). Then he told me that he knew some ppl that go to Central Baptist and some ppl whom he works with that have done missionary work overseas. So it went well, i'm glad i had the courage to tell him that, despite the fact that everyone knows that to make you way up in surgery, you have to show that you are totally committed to surgery and nothing else!

Anyway, the reason we where chatting about my future plans was cos i was getting a mid-term assessment. i received a positive feedback, ya! =)

Yesterday's cell group went well. Very excited about our group and what's coming up. Wish it was on Sunday though. that way can attend more regularly and not have my sleep pattern interrupted.

Perhaps i am self-fish. a couple of weeks ago, i felt that mum hadn't much stuff to watch on TV so borrowed some Asian series from a friend for her. But today, she came home with a stack of Asian series from a friend who's leaving Syd. it'll take her 1 whole yr to finish, if she watches 3 episodes per day!!! nooooo!!! we need another TV!! but then...i don't really have the time 4 tv these days...sadly, my only way of relaxation is ...blogging.
