having a bit of a sense of emptiness these days. maybe "emptiness" is the wrong word, but just not feeling 100% alive/happy/content. can't quite describe it. my vocab's very limited, as you must've all discovered by now. (but at hospital, i am fully absorbed in my work, and most of the time i'd be feeling surprisingly positive.)
it could be because my quiet-times haven't been regular at all these few weeks, or cos i am somehow losing my temper more easily these days (or this maybe the result of this "emptiness") or cos there's nothing exciting coming up (like a show or something). Anyway, should start doing quiet-times more often and see if things change.
how does one sense a "calling" from God? (remember hearing from a talk once that there's no such thing as "calling", but can't remember the main point that was made). How do I know whether God intends me to do physician training or surgical training (or something entirely different)? How do i know if God wants me to do overseas mission work? People say you'll know it when it happens, but how do i know when i feel strongly about doing something it's not because of my own self-fish reasons? Sometimes, you may feel strongly that you are "called" to do something and think that it's God's plan for you when it's really only your own personal desire. Guess pple would say, when you feel a calling from God, you'd know it's a calling from Him and not from within yourself. I dunno. it kinda goes around in circles. All i can at the moment is that i haven't felt a calling to do anything yet...
