the dog ate my homework
heard on the radio today that the following reasons have been submitted (and sometimes accepted) for exemption from exams:- the snails in the mailbox ate the exam date notification
- was in shock after finding out that the girlfriend got pregnant
- pencil-phobia
- will be deported in a few days and had no time to study
- the thought of exams induced anxiety and depression
- the sight of the exam papers caused a headache
- book-phobia
- inability to write longhand for a 3 hour exam as the student only knows how to type
